What are you most passionate about? (05/29/2007)
I am a strong advocate for extending my knowledge in the field by constantly educating myself about network security, current web standards, and server-side scripting languages, like ASP and PHP. I always felt that a day wasted was a day you didn’t learn anything new. With continuing your education you are not only helping yourself in your day-to-day work place, but you’re improving the quality of your work around you. I look at education as a virus; if you have an open forum where you can share ideas with your peers, you can improve the team as a whole.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? (05/29/2007)
My dream job is to lead a team/department into new technologies that will improve the performance and security of the company. I will establish a team of individuals that will bring great insight and discussion to the table to help steer the organization to the right technical future.
Why did you choose this career? (05/29/2007)
Ever since I played on my grandmother’s computer as a little kid, I was interested in just working with computers, running programs, troubleshooting issues and creating software I was interested in. After the first time I explored my first computer, the Mac Plus, I would research everything, so I could fix my mistakes and learn from my experience. That alone dubbed me as our family’s computer guy, and since then I’ve carried that thirst for technical knowledge with me were ever I go. I’m the first one to become anxious and interested in a new version of software coming out. Improving a computer’s performance to make the system ideal for the end user has always interested me. In the end, I’m determined to resolve any issues that arise from any difficult situation.
